This policy explains what data the “Gabrezo Background Remover” plugin for Figma (the “Plugin”) processes, why, and where it goes. It covers two clearly separated modes: the Free tier and the optional Pro tier.
Free tier — everything stays on your device
- Background removal runs entirely on your computer using open-source segmentation models. Your images, designs, and files are never uploaded or transmitted by us.
- The Plugin downloads model and runtime files from our asset host. Like any file download, the host's standard server logs may record the requesting IP address and timestamp; we do not set cookies, do not track you, and do not link these requests to your identity.
- No account, sign-in, or personal information is required.
Pro tier — optional, only when you activate a license
You may purchase a license key to unlock the cloud cutout. When the Pro tier is used:
- License activation. The Plugin sends your license key and a device name you provide to our license service. The key is validated against our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) and stored by us only as a salted SHA-256 hash — the plaintext key is never stored. A signed session token (valid up to 24 hours, renewed automatically) is kept locally in Figma's plugin storage.
- Cloud cutout. When you run a cloud cutout, the selected image
(downscaled to at most 1999 px on its longest edge, JPEG-encoded) is sent to our processing
service, forwarded to Alibaba Cloud's image segmentation API, and the resulting cutout mask is
returned to the Plugin and applied inside your Figma document.
- We do not store your images. They are processed in memory and in temporary, short-lived storage of our processing providers, and are not retained by us after the result is returned.
- Only the selected image is sent — never your file, other layers, or document metadata.
- Usage counters. To enforce fair-use limits (200/day, 2,000/month), we store counters keyed by the hashed license: counts and dates only — no image content, no file names.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs in the Plugin.
- We do not access your Figma files beyond the layers you select to process.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Retention
- Hashed license key and quota counters: retained while your license is active, so the license keeps working across devices.
- Images: not retained (see above).
- You may request deletion of your license data by contacting us; deleting it deactivates the associated license.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted in the plugin's release notes with a new “Last updated” date.
